Appearance and use
They're sold as white powder or tiny 5mg pills. Most
people take several at a time and effects can last from 4-8 hours. They're
often taken with E as a 'party pack'. The more you take the more intense
and uncontrollable the experience. Normally swallowed, they can also be
snorted or smoked.
Cost
Prices vary from region to region but may be around £2-£5
for 2CBs and
£3 per pill for 2-CT-7s
Purity
They're not that common in Britain so facts about purity are difficult
to get hold of.
The effects
- A little bit of 2CB feels like ecstasy. It's an energetic
experience.
- Users feel really aware of colours, sounds and smells.
- The body feels hyper sensitive and lots of people
get randy.
- The effects can usually last from two to four hours.
The downside:
- They both may make you hallucinate like LSD. Not
the drug for control freaks.
- Experience from other drugs like ecstasy and LSD
suggest that regular use can leave people knackered, disorientated and
anxious.
Chances of getting hooked
They're both new drugs to the market so the jury's still
out on this one.
The risks
- Users may become depressed.
- Drugs like these can bring on panic attacks and
more serious psychotic illnesses.
- It is not yet known if there is any long term damage.
The law
2CB and 2-CT-7 are both Class A's in this country.
Illegal to have, give away or sell. Possession can get you up to seven
years in jail. Supplying someone else can get you life and an unlimited
fine.
