Life is not always easy when you are going through your teenage years is it? 

So many challenges and so many decisions; no-one really seems to understand how you feel or why you do the things you do. No-one except your mates that is, who are doing all these things right along side you!

You obviously remember D.A.R.E. from primary school otherwise you wouldn’t be reading this - this site is for you and we need your input so that we get it right.

Of course we are going to keep reminding you about the dangers of drugs, alcohol and violent behaviour and of course we are going to continue to promote the importance of leading a healthy lifestyle.

We all need to eat the right food, take the right amount of physical exercise and look after our bodies. It’s only common sense if you want to be around for a long time to come.

We’ll also try to keep offering you the chance to get involved in different activities and sports to make D.A.R.E. as up to date as we can.

Unfortunately for you lot out there, D.A.R.E. is not run by young people - we are all about the same age as your parents I should think, if not older (scary thought!).

That’s why we need to hear from you about the things that concern you and are important to you.

This can be anything from favourite music to favourite food

Or good places to hang out

Or good jokes

Or experiences you would like to share

With the long summer holidays coming up, have a look at D.A.R.E. Sports site - might make you want to get the bike out of the shed and join a local club or just see how fit you are riding cross country?

You could always think about organising a fund raising event - disco, sporting event, anything you like. D.A.R.E. week in October is all about people getting involved in running events and raising funds for D.A.R.E. - you could start now.
